Grade Schedule ~ Grades K - 5

Common Core Skills Assessment
4.0 = student exceeds grade level mastery
3.5 = student has mastered grade level standards and displays partial mastery above grade level
3.0 = student demonstrates grade level mastery
2.5 = student is progressing toward mastery of grade level standards and displays mastery of some standards
2.0 = student is beginning to progress toward mastery of grade level standards
1.5 = student demonstrates grade level understanding with some support
1.0 = student does not yet demonstrate grade level understanding with support
N/A = not assessed

California Junior Scholastic Federation (C.J.S.F.)

The California JuniorScholarship Federation encourages high standards of scholarship, andcitizenship on the part of junior high students. St. Perpetua School complies with the rules of the federation asstated in its by-laws. Seventh & eighth grade students apply formembership-using grades earned the previous trimester. 

 

All grades must be “C’” orbetter. Students must earn a total of 12 points by assigning a value of A=3, B=1, for core subjects (Religion, Literature, English,Mathematics, Social Studies & Science). Inappropriate citizenship andconduct will eliminate students from membership and result in debarring.

 

Students earn lifemembership when they are members for 5 out of 6 trimesters during 7th & 8thgrades. A gold seal on the graduation diploma indicates life membership.

Academic ProbationPolicy
A student may be placed on academic probation ifhe/she earns a grade of D or below in one or more subjects for atrimester.  A conference will be madewith the student and parents to determine appropriate action.
