Dear Friends,

At St. Perpetua, we are committed to nurturing our students academically, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. We are able to do so through the generous contributions of our community and our staff’s relentless dedication to their professional growth. I am honored to serve as the principal of St. Perpetua in supporting a dedicated and talented staff, a vibrant parent community, and a hardworking student body. As the principal and a parishioner of St. Perpetua, I can confidently say the strength of our community is unmatched.

St. Francis de Sales once said “be who you are and be that well.” At St. Perpetua, we are dedicated to meeting the needs of all students. As members of the Catholic faith, we believe all people are made in the image and likeness of God. It is our vocation as Catholic school educators to ensure all students are included and their needs are met. With my goal of continuing the tradition of excellence here at St. Perpetua, I am committed to creating a safe learning environment that supports all students and prepares them for a successful future. We believe there is good in the world; therefore, it is our duty to be that good.

God Bless,

Molly Gotchet

Principal

Molly Gotchet attended Catholic school from Kindergarten through High School in the Diocese of Stockton attending Annunciation for elementary and middle school and St. Mary’s High School for her high school years. Mrs. Gotchet completed her undergraduate studies and a masters degree in Kinesiology at Saint Mary's College of College, a masters degree in Special Education from Loyola Marymount University, and a masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Notre Dame. She is currently an Ed.D candidate in Educational Leadership for Equity and Social Change at Saint Mary’s College of College.

Beginning in 2022, Mrs. Gotchet became St. Perpetua’s principal. Mrs. Gotchet began her teaching career in 2012 in the Oakland Unified School District as a Special Education Teacher. Missing her Catholic roots, Mrs. Gotchet transitioned to Catholic education as the 3rd grade teacher at Our Lady of Grace in the Diocese of Oakland. Before coming to St. Perpetua, Mrs. Gotchet was the Director of Student Life at Ecole Notre Dame des Victoires in the Archdiocese of San Francisco.

Mrs. Gotchet had a wonderful Catholic school experience while she was a student and was particularly fond of the strong community she was surrounded by and the familial atmosphere it provided. As a Catholic school teacher, Mrs. Gotchet was looking for that same wonderful experience. It was not until Mrs. Gotchet came to St. Perpetua that she felt as though she had come “home.” Mrs. Gotchet is grateful for the supportive and accepting St. Perpetua community and looks forward to coming to work everyday to provide the best experience for the students, staff, and parents.
