SNACK GUIDELINES
For Panther Cubs students, we ask that parents pack a snack for your child. Please limit
the amount of refined sugar you pack for their snack, especially sugary
drinks. We will have lots of talks about
eating health and nutrition, and it’s always helpful when that message is encouraged
at home too.
For After School PH students, we will served a nutritious snack at 3:00 p.m. daily. The afternoon snack will include a main
course item, fruit or vegetable and a beverage.
Around 5:00 p.m. an additional light snack may be provided. If you find that your child requires more of
a snack than is provided, we encourage
you to pack your child an extra healthy snack.
To avoid possible burns do not send a lunch or snack from home that
requires being heated.
The hot lunch
program contracted by the school is available to students TK- 8. On minimum days, children must bring a bag
lunch hearty enough to keep them satisfied until 3:00 p.m. when snack is
served. The hot lunch program does not
operate on minimum days.
SERVICE HOURS for SNACK
Service
hours can be
accumulated for providing Panther House afternoon snack.
Each day’s contribution counts for 2 service hours. Plan amounts that feed 60
hungry children. We
are grateful for your donation, which helps keep our operating cost
down. See calendar at the link below for daily sign-ups.
