Weekly Newsletter

June 4, 2018

Dear Parents,

Can you believe this is the last newsletter for the year?  Where did the time go?

We have had such a quick and busy year filled with learning and fun adventures. We appreciate all of your support and extra help this year.  We wish you and your families a relaxing, fun and safe summer.

Math:  We will be reviewing telling time, creating and using graphs on Monday and finish with one last math assessment. Hopefully we will have some time to play a few math games.

Reading:  We will try hard to finish up reading the stories about the Superkids.  Time permitting, we will follow up with some comprehension activities.

Religion: We will play a game to review the main points of our last lesson.  An assessment will follow. We will finish up the year reviewing the ten commandments.

A few final notes…….

Please send in a handled bag by Tuesday for your child to put school supplies in when we clean out the desks in the afternoon.

Tuesday is our summer birthday celebration. We will be having ice cream and toppings at 2:JJ. (The summer birthday children may have free dress.)

Thursday is Field Day.  Our class color is black for Germany. Please be sure that your second grader wears comfortable clothes including a black tee shirt or top. All students must wear shoes with backs on them. (12:00 Dismissal)

On Friday, we close the school year with Mass at 8:30 in the amphitheater. We will then head back to the classroom to hand out report cards.  Dismissal is at 10:00. This is a causal, but nice church dress day. Again, please make sure your child has shoes with backs on them. Again, have a safe, fun summer vacation! Please have your child bring his/her backpack so last minute items can be brought home easily.
