Ms. Grace Ganey

Miss Ganey

Welcome to first grade! I am very excited to be a part of the Saint Perpetua faculty as the 1st Grade teacher. I'm looking forward to a year of learning, fun and adventures! I can't wait to learn all about you, but first I'll tell you a little about me.

After attending Gonzaga University, I joined the St Perpetua staff as an instructional assistant for two years. I completed my teaching credential and am pursuing a Masters degree in education at Saint Mary's College.

There is so much that I'm looking forward to this year and I will keep you updated on important information and news below.

A homework packet will be sent home on Monday and needs to be returned Friday morning in your students blue folder. The pack will contain work that we have been learning over the week. The blue folders will also serve as communication between home and school, so please be sure to check the folder at the end of each school day for notes or unfinished work.

Birthday Celebrations:

Students are welcome to bring a book or non-edible treats to share with their classmates for birthdays. They should be dropped off with the student at the beginning of the day or at the front office and will be distributed by the teacher. We will still sing to your child and acknowledge them in the classroom.

Students are invited to wear free dress on their birthday as long as it is not a mass day, if their birthday coincides with a mass day they may choose another day that week.

Summer birthdays are invited to celebrate their half birthdays in class if they wish, this is up to parents and students! However please let me know in advance.
