I hope that you are enjoying these last days of summer vacation! The office staff has been diligently working in various ways to support our teachers and staff who are preparing for the start of a new and fabulous year!
Next week, our staff will spend each day together. We will gather as a dioceseon Mondayto celebrate Mass at the Cathedral of Christ the Light. The rest of the week our meeting topics include: New Staff Orientation, Super Kids Reading training, PowerSchool gradebook training, Safe Environment, NGSS, Best Practices, Catechetical Formation and a staff retreat day. There is much to do to ensure we are ready for your students onAugust 21st!

Office News
Medications at School
If your child takes medications (prescription or non-prescription) that need to be kept on campus, you will need to bring the medications(in the original container)as well as the'Request for medication to be taken during school hours'form on the school websitebefore the first dayof school. Please be aware that if the medicine is a prescription, a doctor's signature is also required on the form.
Student School Supplies
If you did not order a SchoolToolBox student supply kit (order deadline has passed), you can find the supply lists for Kindergarten - 8th Grade on our school website.Clickherefor link.No student supplies are needed for TK.
We have a selection of 'gently used' uniforms (especially for our younger students) in the front office.Come by and help yourself!
Student Accident Insurance
School-Time Accident Insurance for students is available through Myers-Stevens & Toohey. Brochures are available in the office.

Safety Reminder
Each year we are required by the Environmental Protection Agency to inform the school community of the presence of asbestos containing materials in the school building. Our asbestos consultant, in accordance with the Environmental Protection Agency's Asbestos Emergency Response Act (AHERA), inspects annually all asbestos-containing building materials within St. Perpetua School. No asbestos abatement occurred during the 2016-2017 school year. All of our maintenance repair activities are conducted in accordance with E.P.A. guidelines throughout the year. Asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM) within the school's facilities are in good condition and pose no threat to the health and safety of our students and staff. All of the ACBM is addressed under a comprehensive Operations & Maintenance Program.

2017 Family Participation Program / Parent Volunteer Hours
St. Perpetua School relies on parents to share their time, talents and treasures. Volunteer participation is necessary as tuition revenue does not cover operating costs of the school. Parent participation also ensures the success of social events and sustains school programs.Clickhereformore details and some revisions to the 2017 program.

Families(TK, K, and single parent-only families have a 15 hour requirement)arerequired to complete 35 volunteer hours. You should report your hours throughout the year to the volunteer chair, Ellen Dreyellen.drey@gmail.com.
Yard Duty

*Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten-only families are not required to sign up
for yard dutyshifts.

*Pleaseinitially sign up for ONLY TWO yard duty slots.Once families have signed up for their two slots, the Sign-up Genius will be reopened for families to sign up for additional shifts that can count toward volunteer hours.
